    The short version

    By briantologist | February 28, 2005

I was gonna write an Oscar recap entry this morning, but I quickly realized I don’t have enough time or attention to do a decent job of it. Therefore, instead I’ll leave you with a tidbit from the ongoing Oscar-time IM exchanges I had with the esteemed Dr. 12.

TV: “Renee Zelweger has demonstrated incredible range over the years—”

DR12: Weight gain does not equal range!

BB: Indeed. Though if it does, I’ve apparently demonstrated incredible range over the last three or four years.

I can’t help but wonder if Sean Penn plans how he’s gonna be an ass ahead of time of if he just wings it.

Also, that’s an awesome picture you have of Charlie Allnut talking to Rosie on the African Queen.

Sean Penn is a showboating actor. When he won the Oscar for Mystic River, they should have given it to him for MOST acting, because he took it to a new level for that piece of jackassery. I’m also pretty sure he’s had his sense of humor surgically removed. I have to wonder what made him think that Jude Law needed rescuing? Personally, I think Sean Penn needs rescuing from his hair and extreme horse’s ass syndrome.

OHMYFUCKINGGODIHATESEANPENN. I about shot out my fucking TV screen when he got all thoughtful about how Jude Law’s actually a real actor, and how actually there’s no way of knowing why the chicken crossed the road because she had no language ability due to her lack of lips or higher brain function.

Yeah. Sean Penn can blow me, pretty much. Or not, because that would be gross.

It’d be a dream come true for me if I could meet him on the street. I’d say, “Dude, do Jeff Spicoli”!
