Somebody broke the cute hydrant
By briantologist | July 14, 2005
Hi again, S&B’ers. Erin’s doing well. She’ll be home Friday, as you’ll read. In the mean time: More baby.
Okay, seriously, I know everybody says this about their own baby, but wee Henry may be the cutest baby on earth:
I KNOW! Erin’s doing pretty well. Her C-section incision hurts, but the insurance company pays for her to stay through Friday, so she’s sure as hell doing that. Practically everyone we know has stopped by to see the kid, who’s getting really good at feeding and sleeping, sometimes simultaneously. The kitties are mildly inquisitive as to where we’ve been, but as nobody’s been telling them to stop clawing up the rugs, they’re comfortable with things. I can’t stop thinking about tiny baby, and after turning on the news to hear a story about a car bomb in Iraq blowing up a crowd of children followed by a story about some motherfucker in Los Angeles getting his 18-month-old daughter killed along with him in a gunfight with the police, I am now confident I will never let my child leave the house wearing anything less protective than an M-1A1 main battle tank. Hey there, lifetime’s worth of new anxiety! Whatcha knowin’? Get comfy.

That is the best picture EVER!! What big eyes he has! Most babies hardly even open their eyes in the first couple days. Glad to hear everyone is doing good.

Are you sure that George Lucas (or a Henson company employee) didn’t pop into the delivery room at any time? Does he sound like Frank Oz at all? Can we say Dark Crystal?

Dark Crystal? Uh oh…… Sarah? Wanna field this one?

The floodgates of cuteness have opened!
He is indeed a severely cute little man.
Hope Erin heals up soon.

Cute!
Hey, we had that same blanket, the one with all the feet. Are you guys in NoHo? Or do hospitals all buy the same blankets?
Be well!

Lifetime’s worth of anxiety. You have no idea. From now on, whenever you see a parent on television pleading for the safe return of their missing child you wonder how they can still breathe not knowing where their baby is.
For seven years now I thought I had the cutest baby on earth. But HGB is making me second guess…

Henry is one of my favorite boy names. He is so adorable. So. Adorable. I love his cheeks and his big eyes. Maybe he’s an old soul.
I can’t wait to hear about him as he grows into a little person.

Ahhhh, I am so happy for you both. I see parents in the library (you know) that I wish would have never procreated and it is good to see a cool couple that have produced a new person. Enjoy babes.

I also love that his initials are an anagram for GHB. That bodes well.
