    Old!

    By briantologist | August 26, 2005

Dude, did you know I’m thirty now? Seriously! I KNOW! It’s kinda cool. I’m not precisely sure why; for some reason I feel strangely optimistic. Like I’ve still got my best years in front of me. And if it’s either that or feeling like I peaked five years ago, I’ll take the former.

So far I’m not any thinner at thirty. Though don’t think I’m any fatter either, so at least it’s a push. Though that may change after my parents make me steaks ‘n’ cake tonight.

    Steaks ‘n’ cake!

Also I’m in a podcast now. Another Brian, the one who owns Doubleshot Coffee Company, the finest house of coffee in this shitty burg (or most of the shitty burgs I’ve been to, actually) had to gently oust his former co-host, whose on-air (on-pod?) delivery was sort of lacking. Like, really lacking. Like, he’s a nice guy, but dude, bad delivery. No biscuit.

So anyway, Brian needed a co-host, and that was me. And now I get all the used coffee grounds I can eat, plus vacation time. If for some goddamn reason you wanna hear us, click the Podcast tab in the latest version of iTunes and search for AA Cafe. The episode with me on it should be there next Tuesday, the thirtieth. DISCLAIMER! The views expressed on this podcast are not those of my employer or its parent organization. Also the views expressed are kinda dumb. Okay, they’re really dumb. But we enjoyed ourselves. Mainly we enjoyed talking shit about Starbucks. So enjoy. I’m featured as “Other Brian.”

Being a podcast sidekick is way better. I tried to be a co-host, but I just wasn’t dedicated enough so instead I help out a friend every couple weeks on his super secret podcast. I will listen to yours soon.

I’m looking forward to thirty. Maybe by then I’ll know what the hell I’m doing with my life.
