    By briantologist | January 12, 2006

At long last, “Brokeback Mountain” came to Tulsa! C’mon gang, let’s go!

Hmmmmmm, but all of a sudden it occurs to me we don’t have a calendar yet. We’ll just pick one up on the way!

Before we hit the theater, I also need something to eat — I’m a little peckerish, er, peckish.

    Hoo! Good times.

I sure do like guns and the gas chamber. But I also love my faggots, just ask ‘em.

I am knocked up and living in Atlanta and the other night was in the fetal position crying because I wanted Coney Island hot dogs so bad. I actually looked into having them FedExed here but then realized you were risking your life when you ate them fresh, much less shipped across the country. Just seeing them makes my heart go a flutter.

It blew my mind in about 1,000 different directions. I have loved the story for so long and the movie was spectacular and I’m not even kidding. I can’t stop thinking about it. Right now there’s an alleged call to have it pulled from the theater because it makes the baby Jesus cry. I emailed the theater manager and told him to ignore these bigots. I didn’t even put up a Vote Kerry sign in my yard, but I did this.

I thought it was awesome. It broke my heart. And who the hell knew Heath Ledger was that good at anything?

I DID. HEATH LEDGER WAS BRILLIANT IN “A KNIGHT’S TALE,” AND FUCK YOU IF YOU DISAGREE. IN ALL CAPS, TOO.

i so badly want a tape recording of heath ledger with his little lockjawed accent, commenting on my day as it happens. i was so blown away (huh…huh huh) by him being that good at anything that i actually went to see Casanova, in spite of the fact that Sienna Miller is the most vile woman on the planet.

Brian, knowing that you filled up on Coney Island before catching Brokeback Mountain kills me… It’s like you’re living the life I so desperately want to live!

(Ain’t no damn coneys in North Carolina, either, so I’m with Mackenzie. For the record, ain’t no Bueno neither, and the nearest Sonic is in the next county.)
