Mind: blown
By briantologist | February 14, 2006
Not that I needed further proof I married the right person, but the other morning as I staggered into the living room, Erin informed me that she had a surprise for me. I was so pleased, I flopped down on the couch and didn’t move for six hours. The reason I didn’t move for two of those hours was a delightful little feature on the Sundance Channel called Hangover Theater. Previously I’d always associated Sundance with the sort of sad indie has-been pomposity that I imagine is rampant at the film festival of the same name, but dude, when I saw what Hangover Theater was serving up, my tune changed right quick.
“Hmmm, ‘Foxes,’ what’s that?” you might ask. Oh, gentle reader, nothing much. Just a little gem from 1980, starring a few relative unknowns — Jodie Foster, Randy Quaid, SCOTT FUCKING BAIO, and the like. Also featured is Cherie Currie, former lead singer of the Runaways and subject of “Neon Angel: The Cherie Currie Story,” coauthored by Cherie Currie. As for what “Foxes” is about, I can’t really tell you, despite having sat through it once (and only once). Just click the picture and I’ll try to explain.

Omigod. I hate to confess but I fucking LOVED THIS MOVIE when it came out.
I tried explaining it to my husband awhile back and he thought I was on crack.
