    ghost Hicksperer

People, I have so many pictures of the television from tonight’s “American Idol” premiere, you would totally believe it. I seriously have to go to bed, and don’t have time to post them all yet, but trust me, they’re coming. I think it’s gonna be something truly special this year. In the meantime, please enjoy this image of a ghostly, conquering Taylor Hicks moments before he smote a bemused Simon Cowell. This is it, people. This is why we do what we do. Whatever it is we do, exactly.

UPDATE: Pics are here! Click haunted Simon above for the first of many, many, many weeks of foolishness.

I don’t know what it says about me that I felt really bad for that Mall of America girl (the first one. The Jewel fan.). They so totally set her up by doing a behind the scenes at her job thing. I really expected her to be good. What the hell is wrong with me?

They’re like “straw men.” AI just sets ‘em up to KNOCK ‘EM DOWN!

I think Crack Baby Grow’d Up might be my favorite so far.

It’s like one huge non-fatal train wreck from which I simply cannot tear myself. Luckily the children are in bed before it airs so they don’t see mommy blurry eyed, slack jawed and happy.

Dude, no, the Mall of America girl was really kinda sad, and the way they set her up was kind of bizarre and awkward, and then they did the same thing with the next couple of contestants and took WAY too long to do it. It made the show really sort of slow to get off the ground, I thought. Then again, I kind of want it on the ground, down where I can get to it.

I’m not sure I could watch American Idol without your morning-after commentary.

They are going to be showing my town’s auditions soon, I really want to see people on there who are awful so if I happen to see them at Target, I can mock them.

I think that since you Tivo’d this, you should be the one to make the “Other Door” movie for YouTube, adding some snappy music and editing together the clips even sharper.
