so ronery.

Gmail’s little web clipping thing just brought this heartbreaker to my attention. Sanctions aside, I was suddenly overwhelmed with wonder at what, oh my dear heavens what, would possibly be on Kim Jong-Il’s iPod.
I put it to all eight of you readers to fill in this blank. So far I’m thinking there’s some Celine Dion in there, but also a fair amount of AC/DC. Also possibly Krokus. GO!!!
P.S. — Also open for discussion: KJI’s various playlists. “World Domination,” for example, would probably be heavily populated with Survivor songs.

Also the “Cats” soundtrack is most assuredly on the KJIPod.

Yeah I’m picturing Kim as a closet Ramones fan myself. “Today your love, tomorrow the world” has to be his theme song.

Europe – “The Final Countdown”
But probably some Kelly Clarkson, too.

Probably some Ministry? I’m thinking Land of Rape and Honey.

I’ll bet he’s way into Mannheim Steamroller. Also Erin pointed out that he’s probably super-duper into Bryan Adams.

I’m thinking he has an Ipod video, and watches great American sitcoms, like reruns of Will and Grace.
“haha Jack, you one funny ‘mo”

Hmmmm… I was thinking the full tracklist of JT’s Justified

I agree 100% with the Celine and Kelly Clarkson. For some reason, I have to add The Bangles – “Our Lips Are Sealed”
January 29th, 2007 at 1:28 pm
Oooo, he’s definitely an “Eternal Flame” guy too.
January 29th, 2007 at 1:39 pm
The entire Liza catalogue, clearly.
January 29th, 2007 at 1:44 pm
No doubt Aqua’s “Barbie Girl” is on there, too…
January 29th, 2007 at 1:51 pm
Dude, he’s got entire Aqua albums. He’s got hard-to-find import Aqua singles. He’s an Aqua completist, that little dictator.

Probably some 80′s pop– Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, the like…
January 29th, 2007 at 3:13 pm
He’s a total Emo boy. Lots of Dashboard Confessional and Death Cab for Cutie.
January 29th, 2007 at 4:47 pm
I think he’s got some Pantera and Danzig on there. He’s probably really into death metal and crap like that. But he’s also been to Lilith Fair a bunch.
January 29th, 2007 at 5:10 pm
Deadhead. Total Deadhead. I saw him selling hand-wrapped crystal jewelry and homemade bongs in the parking lot at Richfield in ’92. Seemed like a nice guy, but he got a little pissy when I suggested that the China>Rider from the first night was the best thing we were going to hear during that run…

Il Divo and Josh Groban. For sure.
And I’d like to think some Snoop Dogg.

Does anyone else think “he” looks very much like a “she”? those damn sunglasses, that hair… I’m pretty sure, personally, that KJI gets PMS.
And the playlist must, without a doubt, include “Dr. Jones, Wake Up Now” by Aqua. ‘Cause you know he wanted to be that little asian sidekick to Indiana Jones when he was a kid. What did Indy call him? Short Wide?
January 30th, 2007 at 2:23 pm
Short Round
“Okie-dokie, Doktah Jones!”
January 30th, 2007 at 3:46 pm
He looks like he’d be into hip hop.
I bet he’s a huge Diddy fan.
January 31st, 2007 at 12:11 pm
Isn’t it still the 1980s in North Korea right now? He wouldn’t know Kelly Clarkson from Valerie Plame. But, yeah, lots of hair metal. I’m thinkin’ Ratt.
January 31st, 2007 at 3:44 pm
chakliuk is right – huge Diddy fan. Probably Dannity Kane too. And you know his secret video obssession is Dog the Bounty Hunter
January 31st, 2007 at 5:11 pm
Tom Jones, James Taylor, and Barry White. Maybe a little Billy Joel when he’s feeling cutting edge.
