    letdown.

    By briantologist | February 9, 2007

Our goddamn fake Tifaux fucked up on us, and decided that just because we had HD versions of “Serpico,” “Dick,” and half of “Tombstone,” plus roughly nineteen “Teletubbies” episodes, we didn’t have enough room to record the goddamn Auditions retrospective on “Idol” Wednesday night. So I have no pictures. I find myself more sad about this than probably I ought to be. It’s like I performed a successful emergency brain surgery, but then couldn’t stitch up the patient because I forgot to bring thread. Only without the, how you say, “tangible benefit to humanity,” or “actually having accomplished something.”

On the plus side, I finally got around to watching “Dick” last night, and it was really pretty funny.

So is “Dick” something you can talk about in a family setting?

Well, I might as well kill myself. Thanks, Tifaux, for finally giving me a reason to end it all.

Yes, “Dick” is a great, underrated movie.

It seriously is. Dan “Nick Tortelli” Hedaya as Richard Nixon is quite possibly the greatest casting choice since Walter Matthau as Albert Einstein. Actually that entire movie’s casting is a feat of casting genius, including but not limited to Will Ferrell and Bruce McCullough as Woodward and Bernstein.

Oh, Brian, I love the fact that you take so many kitty pictures — it makes me feel less ashamed of how many I take of my precious fuzzy bundle. In fact, it inspires me to take more…
