job’d!

Alas, our week of double unemployment is at an end: I have procured a temp job, which I start Monday. While of course I’m relieved, I must admit I was enjoying my leisure time together with the wife. We saw two — TWO! — movies* this week, which hasn’t happened since the first quarter of 2006. We went to the maps exhibit at the Field Museum, which, awesome, obvs. And we just had all this leisure time, which was lovely. When we weren’t desperately applying for jobs, anyway.
I will be working downtown again, which is nice. We will have an income again, which is nicer. And my wage is far from insulting, which, well, y’know.
So, financial emergency mostly over, for now. E still needs a job, so, uh, keep your eyes open, I guess.
* — No Country For Old Men, fucking awesome; The Golden Compass, nowhere near as bad as these bitch-ass critics seem to insist.Â
